Redesigning the primary mirror (M1) of the CCam earth observation cubesat for additive manufacture. A low cost imaging system for cubesat's developed by the UKATC and RAL Space.

Optimised the design parameters for a mechanical performance similar to the original solid body design, whilst targeting a 60% mass reduction. This involved finite element analysis of the mirror’s surface deflection in the vertical axis under uniform pressure utilising Ntop a CAD and CAE software purpose built for 3D printed structures.
